Born in Caracas, Venezuela, she has always enjoyed music and dance. Coming from an immigrant family with Peruvian and Colombian roots, her personality is vibrant, and has an extraordinary sense of humor, making her an exciting and amusing person to be around. In her childhood, she participated in all kinds of fundraising, social, and cultural events in her community. After completing high school, her adventurous and goal-oriented spirit brought her to Ottawa 15 years ago to learn English. As soon as she arrived in the city, she fell in love with it and decided to stay, enrolling at Carleton University, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.

Her passion for Zumba began in Florida, where she took a class with Alberto "Beto" Perez, and she has loved it ever since. Currently, Caro enjoys teaching Zumba and other fitness classes at various locations around the city, where she is delighted to be a part of diverse organizations that promote health, fitness, and well-being. Five days a week, she helps people have fun while exercising and learning her incredible Latino dance moves.
