Maria is a certified Pilates trainer, physical rehabilitation specialist, innovator and an expert in the treatment of physical disabilities due to injury.
She is a graduate of the prestigious Dror Raz Pilates Center in Israel and is highly trained in functional anatomy, physiology and biomechanical workings of the human body. She also holds a degree in physical fitness and a training license from Cegep Marie-Victorin College in Montreal, Quebec.
Maria is an expert in both classical and modern Pilates. These include mat work; usage of small auxiliary apparatus to assist in rehabilitation of pathologies, counter indicators of pelvic floor muscles, as well as a thorough knowledge of larger machines, like Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda chair, Stability chair, Armchair, High barrel and Spine corrector.
Maria believes in attention to detail and the healing powers of Pilates. She could easily isolate any physical issue just by observing the client’s posture, overall body strength and flexibility, and can modify the difficulty and intensity of exercises depending on each client’s needs.
Her extensive work experience allowed her to help many people from different walks of life, including disabled soldiers and war veterans; world-renowned musicians from Tel-Aviv Symphony Orchestra and world-famous Cirque Du Soleil acrobats, heavyweight competitors and high-performing athletes; runners, swimmers and tennis players, just to name a few.
Nowadays, Maria works mostly on Zoom. She dedicates a lot of time, knowledge, care and energy to each client and their individual needs.
Maria is fluent in Russian, Hebrew, French and English languages.
