Ms. Thawer is a physiotherapist by profession and has been practicing in Canada since 1997. She obtained her Bachelor of Physical Therapy and her post-graduate education in Canada, consisting of a Master of Science and a Ph.D. in Rehabilitation Science.

She is certified by the American Board of Forensic Professionals in the rating of impairment and disability. She has a built a practice in Canada focusing on the assessment and treatment of musculoskeletal and sports injuries. 

She has extensive experience with building and implementing multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary rehabilitation programs in the areas of chronic pain management, geriatric rehabilitation and women’s health.

She serves as an independent accreditation consultant for the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities and is a provider of continuing education in rehabilitation.  She has extensive experience with the provision of ergonomic assessments, in-home physiotherapy programs, and virtual physiotherapy.
