Massage Therapist in Ottawa - Richen
For a massage therapist at your workplace in Ottawa or Gatineau
My high school years were spent training at a National Ballet School in Toronto, Canada. Upon graduation, I continued to dance and be involved with both small and large dance companies. My interest in the human body and anatomy is a result of these varied experiences. Tai Chi made a large impact through intensive training and teaching at a vibrant centre in Toronto.
Further study at one of the leading massage schools in Canada, Sutherland Chan School, led me to graduate from a full core program. Upon graduation, I successfully wrote my College of Massage Therapists of Ontario and became a Registered Massage Therapist. Thereafter, I was trained in Quality Assurance for the College. My learning continued with courses including Shiatsu, Deep Tissue Massage, Trigger Point and Polarity Therapies.
I have worked in private massage clinics in Brockville, Port Hope, and Cobourg, Ontario. For a number of years, I was employed as the first full-time massage therapist at St. Anne’s Inn and Spa. These experiences have provided me in working with concerns involving motor vehicle, sports, occupational and performing arts injuries. In addition, I have worked with many women during their pregnancy and both men and women with general relaxation. Working alongside chiropractors has also aided my skills. I have designed and conducted massage workshops for individuals and couples.
I continue to be personally active hiking, bird watching, cycling, and kayaking. I have a keen interest in photography and the visual arts.
